Shifa Natural

Having worked in the pharmaceutical industry for several years, the co-founders of Shifa Natural never expected to find themselves living such a different lifestyle only a few years later, but the change is exactly what they wanted. Having seen the realities of the “big pharma” and knowing firsthand the horrific number of chemicals and side-effects associated with pharmaceuticals that wreak havoc on our bodies, they knew the pharmaceutical industry wasn’t for them and started spending more time learning about the benefits of holistic healing and living a more natural lifestyle. At this point, they made the decision to move to Sri Lanka and learn more about the local ayurvedic and natural healing practices, while also introducing the island to other alternative medicines that are more freely available
in the west.

“What a beautiful journey it has been since we were exposed to alternative medicines and started learning about it. The process of learning never stops and we feel like we keep discovering new sides of natural healing daily and we hope we can help to bring about a new renaissance of natural healing and lifestyle in Sri Lanka,” said the founders. And they’re doing exactly what they hoped they would by introducing an extensive range of all-natural wellness products called Shifa Natural.

Working with both local and international suppliers to source their ingredients, they make sure to do a lot of research and always look for only high quality, organic and non-gmo sources.Committed to providing quality natural products that are effective, all Shifa Natural products have been carefully formulated based on ancient teachings and practices from all corners of the world and those that have been proven to work.

One of the main reasons people tend to favour dangerous, chemical laden products even though they’re aware of the health risks associated with them is that they’re cheaper alternatives to healthier, natural options which often carry a high price tag and are not as accessible. With the launch of Shifa Naturals, the founders wanted to address this and have made it their goal to create a diverse range of natural products affordable and accessible to everyone.

In terms of the packaging of Shifa Natural products, it’s all done in-house which includes even the designing of the labels which is done by their small team. Sticking with the Good Market guidelines, only glass or reusable plastic containers are used to ensure sustainability, so you can rest assured that when you purchase a Shifa Natural product it is completely environmentally friendly!

“Lifestyle changes are something that many people struggle with and while there are plenty of natural cures available, people are still not willing to leave their comfort zone and instead keep using pharmaceuticals which cause more damage than good. We’re committed to raising awareness about this and helping make more natural products available in Sri Lanka,” explained one of the founders. With this in mind, they are always on the lookout for ways to expand the Shifa Natural product collection and there will be several exciting and interesting additions being made to the product range this year- some of which they are in the process of negotiating with suppliers at the moment. Certainly, great news for all those
committed to living natural lifestyles!

If there’s nothing you take away from their story, the Shifa Naturals team hope you open your eyes to the health risks associated with everyday products and start doing your own research to become more aware and able to safeguard yourself and your loved ones from the dangerous products full of toxins that could be hiding in your home today!
